TOOL Not Tired Of Touring Yet

November 22, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: TOOL is currently in the midst of a two-month European tour and will also hit Australia and New Zealand in early 2007 before returning home for another North American trek, beginning in mid-March. Drummer Danny Carey told Launch that the band continues to enjoy playing around the world even when the traveling gets to them. "It gets a little more same-old, same-old, I suppose, in America now, 'cause we've made laps around the country, you know, eight or 10 times at least," he said. "It's always interesting to go places you haven't been before, and even in America that's the case. Europe is a little more of a frontier for us now, and then there are a lot of countries we haven't even been to yet where I'm hoping we're gonna hit on this tour."

No dates or cities have been revealed yet for the band's next American jaunt.

TOOL continues to tour in support of its fourth studio album, "10,000 Days", which has sold 1.3 million copies since its release last May. The CD's latest single is "The Pot".

The group plays in Dublin, Ireland tonight (Wednesday, November 22).

TOOL will headline the annual Big Day Out festival tour of Australia and New Zealand, which begins on January 19. The group will be joined by THE KILLERS, MUSE, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and JET on the bill.
